Motto & Mission

River Valley High School is a rural, public high school that has been serving the Fort Mohave and Mohave Valley area since 1992. The school is located on the far western side of Arizona, just miles away from the California and Nevada borders. The tri-state area is one of the fastest growing regions in the Southwestern United States. Approximately 600 students attend annually. The mission of River Valley High School is to empower students to develop the skills necessary to take responsibility for their learning, to demonstrate respect for others, and to learn to be productive citizens. The River Valley staff is a united family that works well together. This enables us to provide students with excellent academic programs embedded into a welcoming environment for them to take risks, ask questions, and flourish academically. The staff encourages continued personal development through participation in quality athletic programs, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities. River Valley High School is accredited by AdvancED Education.

Our primary goal is to encourage and inspire everyone to do his or her best. The River Valley Renaissance Program encourages, recognizes, and rewards excellent performance by students and staff. We are very proud of our student body, and this program translates that pride into meaningful, tangible rewards for those that improve and excel. Details are available through the counseling office.
